2009 - 2010
I've recently had the pleasure of working with...
• StillArt, a pan-European Management Consultancy based in Sweden. They've been achieving impressive results in increasing orchestra subscription take-up with organisations such as Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra and Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra. I've worked with them over the last three years on research and ambassador projects. Now I am supporting them in their European expansion through branding, research and project management.
• Winchester Museums Service. Since June '09 I've been conducting focus groups with non traditional audiences and working with their (very creative and committed) team to develop an audience development plan.
• 198 Contemporary Arts & Learning. Last year I ran a focus group with young people for HustleBucks, a youth design agency based at the 198. This January I also completed a series of workshops for 1London, programmed and hosted by 198 on Marketing Basics and Being a Freelancer.
• Catherine Rushforth & Associates. CR&A offer training and a range of services related to child protection. Catherine is recognised as one of the leading UK experts in this field. Not strictly arts related but a very important subject that people working in all industries need to be aware of. I've been helping them plan and review their business expansion over the past 18 months.
• Film and Video Umbrella. My project associate, Anna Godsiff and I researched and selected particiants during August - October for an extraordinary film where 104 people accompanied artist Simon Pope on during the course of one day along short sections of a 26 mile route through the five Olympic Boroughs. We also designed and led preparatory workshops with the participants. For more information on the film and screening dates, visit Memory Marathon. As a separate project, I also set up and led their ambassador programme for their Free to Air series.
• Streatham Festival Association asked me to head up the first ever Streatham Food Festival, so at the start of 2009 I and a team of fantastic volunteers were immersed into the world of food for eight intense, hectic and delicious weeks.
